What GPMMC Did For My Husband — And For Our Marriage

I am writing this because my husband never would, and I think someone should. He spent the better part of three years dealing with something that was affecting both of us and refusing to see anyone about it. When he finally went to GPMMC, things changed in ways I was not expecting. I want other women to know this clinic exists, because sometimes we are the ones trying to get the men in our lives through the door.

Getting Him There

My husband is not someone who asks for help. I think a lot of men around here are built that way. He had been dealing with low energy, mood issues, and some other things he would not talk about openly, and he kept putting off doing anything about it. I found GPMMC online and he agreed to go, mostly because it was local and specifically for men. That last part mattered to him.

I drove him to the first appointment. He came out quieter than I expected, but in a good way. He said Dr. Nash was straightforward and did not make him feel like he was overreacting or wasting anyone’s time.

What Dr. Nash and Dr. Klein Did

What I did not expect was how thorough the approach was. Dr. Nash handled the physical side — hormone levels, lab work, a treatment plan — but he also connected my husband with Dr. Klein for the mental health piece. That part surprised my husband most. He had never seen a therapist before and he was resistant to it, but Dr. Klein apparently has a way of making it feel practical rather than uncomfortable.

Within a few months I had my husband back. That sounds dramatic but it is the most honest way I can put it. The person who had been withdrawing and running out of patience with everything gradually became present again. I do not think he fully understood how much things had shifted until I pointed it out to him.
